Tragedy on Weaversville Road: Motorcyclist Dies After Three-Vehicle Crash in Allen Township

A Wednesday evening collision in Northampton County has claimed the life of a motorcyclist after a three-vehicle crash at a busy Allen Township intersection.

The fatal crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. on September 30 at the intersection of Weaversville Road and Atlas Road in Allen Township, according to Northampton County Coroner Dan Buglio.

Initial reports indicate that the crash involved a motorcycle, an SUV and another vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Despite efforts to save the rider’s life, the motorcyclist was later pronounced dead.

Authorities closed Weaversville Road and Atlas Road at the intersection while crews conducted accident reconstruction and worked to determine the circumstances that led to the devastating collision.

Emergency personnel from Allen Township, East Allen Township, Northampton, and Northampton Regional EMS responded to the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details about the crash and the circumstances surrounding the motorcyclist’s death may be released as authorities continue their work.
